SERANG-Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik (FISIP) Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa (Untirta) melalui Ilmu Administrasi Publik menyelenggarakan kegiatan seminar internasional secara ‘hybrid’ bertajuk “INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION AND SOCIAL STUDIES (ICoPASS) & CALL FOR PAPER: Innovation and Adaption Policy: Climate Action” yang dilaksanakan di ruang Multimedia Kampus Untirta, Sindangsari, Kecamatan Pabuaran, Kabupaten Serang, Selasa 19 November 2024. Hadir dalam kegiatan ini Wakil Rektor Bidang Akademik Dr. Rusmana, Ir., M.P., Dekan FISIP Untirta Leo Agustino, Ph.D., dan jajaran, Ketua Indonesian Association for Public Administration (IAPA) Prof. Dr. Agus Pramusinto, MD., Akademisi Center for Research in History, Politics and International Affairs (SPHEA) Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities ( FSSK) Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Direktur Kerjasama dan Penelitian Universidade Oriental Timor-Lorosa’e (UNITAL) Dr. Marito Magno., AP. S.Sos., MM.
Leo dalam sambutannya menuturkan, tujuan adanya kegiatan ini adalah untuk saling peduli dan memberikan sumbangsih pemikiran dan aksi terhadap kebijakan yang berkaitan dengan perubahan iklim, ketahanan pangan, dan perdamaian dunia. “There are impact for the human. Inovation and polcy, higly relevan of cressingly complect and finding efectively solution,” ujarnya.
Sementara Rusmana menyampaikan, dalam menyikapi utamanya soal perubahan iklim ini, Untirta memang intens untuk menanganinya melalui visi Untirta yakni Healthy, Integrated Smart and Green dan value JAWARA.
“Climate change is not just an environmental issue—it is a profound social, economic, and political challenge that requires innovative solutions and adaptive policies (Piya et al, 2018). As we gather today, we recognize that the role of public administration and social sciences are fundamental in fostering sustainable responses to this global crisis. The policies and frameworks we design today will shape the flexibility of our communities and determine the future of our planet,” ujarnya dalam bahasa asing.
