Assessor Team of Ministry of Research, Technology, and High Education Assessed the Doctoral Program of Untirta

Two assessors from Ministry of Research, Technology, and High Education, Prof. Dr. Eko Hadi Sujiono and Prof. Dr. Safnil Arsyad visited postgraduate program of University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa to do a field assessment. Prof. Dr. Eko Hadi Sujiono said that his duty was to evaluate the suitability between the proposal written by proposal drafting team with the reality in the field. If the assessors decided that postgraduate program of University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa meet the standard requirements, the Ministry of Research, Technology, and High Education would release a decree.

Rector of University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, Dr. H. Fatah Sulaeman, ST.., M.T. said that the establishment of doctoral program of education was an effort to upgrade the quality of education in Banten. University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa has prepared the facilities and infrastructures, such as the new campus in Sindangsari. The main campus in Pakupatan will be used later for doctoral and vocation program. He wished that University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa was able to carry out the doctoral program of education.

 

The assessors checked the administrative requirements, such as prospective teacher data, promoters, curriculum, etc. Then the assessors checked the readiness of facilities and infrastructures by visiting the classrooms, discussion area, library, lecturers rooms, and professors rooms. Dr. Nurul, one of the member of proposal drafting team said that she and her team have already prepared it for about 4 months. During the field assessment, the assessors suggested to strengthen the publication by professors and encouraged head lectors who have written international essays to become professors.

The Director of Postgraduate of University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa was optimistic that the doctoral program of education would be approved by Ministry of Research, Technology, and High Education. He said that the enrollment of new student would depend on the amount of promoter. The more promoters, the more new students could enroll. The assessment ended with the handover of field assessment report to Rector of University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa and the Director of Postgraduate of University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa.
