Public Lecture Held on “The Role of Students and the Challenges of Realizing Good Governance”
Public Administration Study Program of Faculty of Social and Political Science (FISIP) of University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa (Untirta) held a public lecture on “The Role of Students and the Challenges of Realizing Good Governance” at the Auditorium of Building B, Campus of Pakupatan. Deputy Governor of Banten, H. Andika Hazrumi, S.Sos., M.Ap, was invited to be the speaker as he was considered as someone with great knowledge and huge experience.
The event was officially started by Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs as the representative of Rector. The event was not only attended by the students and the lecturers of Faculty of Social and Political Science (FISIP), but also by the Dean of Faculty of Social and Political Science (FISIP), Vice Dean of Student Affairs, and the Head of Public Administration Study Program.
Through the public lecture, the participants learnt about the role of students and the challenges of applying and implementing good governance. As the agent of change, students should play their role in supervising the growth to ensure the structure of growth planning runs well. Students could contribute their idea in growth supervision through research. The quality of governance itself was determined by the quality of interaction between government, civil society, and the private companies. Good governance should have accountability, participation, predictability, and transparency so public service could be optimal and effective. (Sekar)
